HAIR CHRONICLES

New Hairdo courtesy of Dominick @ Serge Normant@John Frieda. I know everybody’s for everybody, with everybody…blah, blah, blah right. Well it moves and that’s what I love. It’s the perfect grow long hairstyle=many layers, bangs & easy to take care of. My favorite hair products right now are Giovanni. I buy them at Whole Foods. I swear by Davines, which is available in select salons. They have the worst website and customer service. It’s like they don’t want you to buy the product. There are websites that sell them, but they are not “certified”. In New York you can buy at Edris, The Chelsea Hotel Salon and Armando Corral. In DC/VA at Hairport or Molecules. The space at Serge is very intimate (tiny) and not entirely well thought out, but I do like the lighting. It’s actually flattering to be so bright. The customer service is not the best, but hopefully they’re working on it. I haven’t seen a website, but they just opened this location in the meat packing district about 1 week ago. I can’t speak to the other stylists. I wasn’t paying attention and I felt like there were more assistants than anyone else on the floor. They’ve bought the uptown flavor with a coat checker/cleaning lady. I felt like I was in Brazil. You know what I mean. It was a little ridiculous and not as laid back as the other downtown salons. They should let her wear black like the rest of the assistants.

Enough. My hair looks great and I am very happy. Smile.
