Beware of Prowler

Last night I was watching “It Takes A Thief”  The premise of the show being that homeowners need to use all of the safety measures at their disposal.  Today I get a call from someone I know that a stranger came knocking late last night

Me:  Did you open the door?

Them:  Nope I turned the porch light on and spoke through the glass.

Me:  Does your front door open with a key on both sides?

Them:  Yes.

Me:  And the basement door?

Them: Yes.

Me:  Do all your windows and doors have working locks?

Them: Yes.  I went through the entire house locking everything.

The family on the show had an alarm, but didn’t use it.  They had a box full of keys with a list of all the doors they opened.  The box was unlocked it included their neighbors’ keys .  There windows were not locked.  Paranoid yes, but the show was hosted by 2 ex-burglars who “robbed them blind” as part of the show:(
